WMW Independent Contractor Bob Noland to the Rescue

Church of Christ unloading a Wooster Motor Ways trailer

On Monday October 16th Wooster Motor Ways Independent Contractor Bob Noland delivered a truckload of goods to the Immokalee Church of Christ in Immokalee FL.  The planning for this event began shortly after Hurricane Harvey devastated Texas.  Tim Nowlin, minister for the Church of Christ in Ashland OH (http://www.ashlandchurchofchrist.com/) felt the need to create unity amongst his congregation and community and show support to our fellow Americans in the South.  Originally the concept was to rent a Uhaul, fill it with goods and supplies, and send to a Christian relief effort in the Houston TX area in mid-October.  During the planning process Church of Christ parishioner Bob Noland had additional ideas.  Noland requested Wooster Motor Ways donate a trailer and he would donate his truck, fuel and time to take the trailer to Texas and back.  Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam helped out by donating a $500 gift card from Pilot/Flying J to help with fuel costs.  For one week prior to the delivery, the WMW trailer was parked at various locations throughout Ashland: Hawkins Market, Walmart, Dollar Tree, and the City Lot.  As expected the great community of Ashland easily filled the 53 foot trailer.  Two days prior to Noland leaving, the plan was changed to assist the people of Florida and Puerto Rico and as expected Noland made another on time delivery.

Nowlin describes Noland as a “family man that loves his Lord and Church”.  He went on to talk about Bob’s excellent communication skills which are effective on their mission trip every summer to the Dominican Republic and how Bob is always available whenever he is needed.  The Wooster Motor Ways family could not agree more.  We are extremely proud of Noland representing Wooster Motor Ways, the Ashland Church of Christ, and the Ashland community to our fellow Americans.
